AMERICAN IDEOLOGY
United States can't be defined by only one ideology. The culture, the politics and the economy are formed by different ideology. For example, the American culture is mostly based on individualism, politics is based on liberal progressive ideology, moderate or conservative ideology.
Economic Ideology
First of all, let's talk about the political ideology of United States, which is mainly capitalism. Capitalism is a type of economic system, and the United States have based themselves on it to structure their economy. Capitalism is based on two simple principles: the private ownership of capital goods and the means of production.The three central elements of the capitalism are: capital accumulation, competitive market and price system.
Cultural Ideology
Second of all, in the United States, the principal cultural ideology is individualism. The Americans can clearly be seen as individualist. In an individualistic society, everyone should be able to look out for him/herself and not depend on someone else. The American Dream as a big impact on that cultural ideology. Almost all Americans believe they can do anything and they have hope for a better life. It's the belief than anyone can get out of poverty and no matter what their status is. This dream is now, not only seen in America but in many countries that want to be like Americans and believe in a better life.

Finally, in The US, there are three major political ideologies: liberal progressive, moderate and conservative.
The equality between sexes and races is very important and they respect the civil rights. Other major ideologies are social progressivism and ordoliberalism.
